Using a 416 ci LS3 dragster engine, with 15:1 static compression, and 280+ psi cranking cylinder pressure, about 50 pulls on the dyno were conducted during the day. Jett sizing and spark advanced were optimized during these pulls.
The reference for the test was a competitor’s 116+ octane lead fuel. It’s a recognized fuel in the US and has been a best seller in Australia for years. The best replacement unleaded fuel from our competitor was also tested (102.5 octane)
Two of ETS's high-performance oxygenated fuels were tested:
XPRODRAG 3 (101.5 octane) rating and our PX11 BF (98 octane), a lead-free version of our PX11 (104 octane). (As you can see, removing lead results in a lower octane rating.) Both fuels are made from 98% pure molecules providing incredible consistency batch after batch.
And while both XPRODRAG 3 and PX11 show lower octane ratings than both competitor fuels, both handily outperform the competition's higher octane rated fuels.
